Friday’s Collaborative Partner meeting via live-stream webinar was a huge success! The webinar was recorded and will be available by the end of today on the Resource Center.
Summer Institute information is now available both here and on the Resource Center for summer 2018. There are three unique events offered this summer that include specific content in the Blueprint for Systemic Reconfiguration, MTSS, CNA, and Leadership development. Each event (one in June, one in July, and one in August) offers a unique perspective to the work, but focuses on the interconnectedness of each framework.
Registration opens on March 8th and is expected to fill to capacity quickly.
The complete description of each institute is included in the document below.
New Online Event Registration System Launches Today!
Today, we launched our new online event registration system.
This new system requires a free WordPress account. You may have already created one to access the Online Warehouse. The entire Resource Center uses a single sign-on process, so if you already have an account, you are ready to utilize the new event registration system.
Moving forward this is the way to register for MI Excel Statewide Field Team sponsored events. The old system has been disabled. As we transition to this new system, please keep in mind that you do not need to re-register for any events for which you registered in our former Google system. Those reservations remain in tact as you made them previously. To make changes to any of those previously made reservations, please contact Anne Bohl.
As you make new reservations, please note that you will be able to edit and cancel those reservations online and it won’t be necessary for you to make a phone call. This ability to manage your reservations should make participation in Statewide Field Team events even easier. We hope this new tool will save you time and energy as you plan time.
A step-by-step guide to the new online registration system is provided below.
Reminder: Systems Challenge Survey Due February 15th!
As part of the MI Excel data dashboard, the MI Excel Statewide Field Team in collaboration with Basis Policy Research has developed a brief survey instrument to collect data about perceived system challenges as it relates to MI Excel, the statewide system of support.
The MDE is again requesting that all Intervention Specialists and District Improvement Facilitators complete the survey (found at the link provided below) once for each district that has an identified MI Excel school or a school receiving MI Excel Services as a result of transition plan. Released districts who have chosen not to continue MI Excel services this year should not be included. Regardless of the number identified schools, the survey is written at the district level and should only be completed once for each district with an identified school.
If you haven’t done so already, please complete the brief survey once for each applicable district by February 15, 2018. It is intended in the data collection process that this survey be completed by the IS/DIF and not be a task given to local district leaders.

Please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Chandler if you have any questions regarding this survey.
